Event Sales Assistant, M+ Museum

M+ is a museum dedicated to collecting, exhibiting, and interpreting visual art, design and architecture, moving image, and Hong Kong visual culture of the twentieth and twenty-first centuries. Located in Hong Kong’s WestK, we are one of the leading museums of modern and contemporary visual culture in the world. The museum reflects our unique time and place, building on Hong Kong’s historic balance of the local and the international to define a distinctive and innovative voice for Asia’s twenty-first century. 

This is a fixed-term contract position of 2-year with possibility for renewal subject to organisational needs and individual performance.

You will be responsible for:

• handling daily administrative works for event team, including but not limited to answering phone calls and email correspondences, upkeeping departmental filing and updating information;
• preparing sales and necessary analytical reports in timely manner with accuracy;
• assisting Event Sales to prepare necessary documents for clients and cross-department;
• Identify potential sales leads, analyze, recommend, and execute marketing packages with M+ unique features to target these leads;
• collecting and analysing market trends and information for hiring price planning and sales packages;
• assisting to maintain CRM record to keep clients’ record up-to-day and maintaining the booking record of Venue & Event Management System; 
• maintaining good awareness of all museum programmes and communicating effectively with different stakeholders including internal departments;
• performing any other duties as may direct by supervisor when necessary; and
• performing any duties from time to time as reasonably as assigned by M+.

 You should:

• possess a recognized university degree in any discipline, preferably with minimum 1-year relevant experience in event sales/management. Fresh graduate with administration works/event planning experience will also be considered;
• be a self-motivator who aims to drive things forward and demonstrate high level of ownership and accountability to assigned tasks;
• have a strong sense of responsibility, good interpersonal and organization skills and attentive to details;
• be proficiency in written and spoken English and Chinese including Putonghua; and
• work in flexible schedule including weekends, evenings, and holidays if necessary.
