Financial Controller

About the role

This is an exciting opportunity to join the financial team at Cone Marshall Asia as a Financial Controller. In this full-time role based in a grade A office in Landmark in Central, you will be responsible for overseeing the company's financial operations and ensuring accurate financial reporting and compliance.

What you'll be doing

1. Manage all aspects of the company's financial functions, including accounts payable and receivable, general ledger, payroll, and tax compliance
2. Prepare and analyze financial statements, budgets, and forecasts to provide insights and recommendations to the management team
3. Oversee the implementation and maintenance of financial policies, procedures, and internal controls
4. Liaise with external auditors and regulators to ensure compliance with relevant laws and regulations
5. Supervise and mentor the finance team, providing guidance and training as needed
6. Contribute to strategic decision-making and support the company's long-term growth objectives

What we're looking for

1. 8+ years of experience in a similar financial controller or senior accounting role, preferably in the accounting industry
2. Thorough understanding of financial management, accounting principles, and financial reporting standards
3. Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to interpret financial data and provide actionable insights
4. Strong leadership and people management skills, with the ability to mentor and develop a finance team
5. Proficient in the use of financial software and data analysis tools, ideally Business Central
6. A professional accounting qualification (e.g., CPA, ACCA) is highly desirable
