FX Structured Products Owner / Business Analyst

Our client is an industry-leading technology platform that connects private banks and wealth management firms with structured product issuers. Their client base includes many of the world's largest financial institutions.

They are currently seeking a highly specialized Product Owner / Business Analyst to take ownership of a new strategic initiative: the development and launch of a cutting-edge FX Structured Products module. This module will encompass sophisticated instruments such as DCN Options, TARFs, and Pivots.

This role demands more than standard project management or generic technical analysis. They require a candidate with deep, intrinsic knowledge of FX derivative mechanics and a proven ability to transform complex financial engineering concepts into sleek, high-performance electronic trading interfaces and robust connectivity layers.

Key Responsibilities

• Define Product Strategy & Roadmap: Assume full ownership of the FX structured products vision, establishing the product roadmap, prioritizing feature backlogs, and managing evolving functional requirements.
• Lead Agile Execution: Drive the project lifecycle using Jira, writing detailed functional specifications (user stories) and guiding the team through Agile workflows to ensure timely delivery of project milestones.
• Drive Technical Design: Provide leadership to developers and DevOps teams, steering technical discussions and ensuring architectural decisions align with business goals.
• Design Intuitive User Journeys: Create user workflow diagrams and UI mockups for critical front-office functions, including price requests (RFQ) and order execution flows.
• Orchestrate End-to-End Workflows: Map and define complete lifecycle processes, covering everything from pre-trade pricing and execution through to post-trade event handling.

Required Experience & Skills

• Deep FX Product Knowledge: Minimum 7–8 years of hands-on experience in FX derivatives and structured products (Options, TARFs, Pivots, etc.), with a strong grasp of product mechanics and the intricacies of price request/execution workflows.
• Agile Tech Environment Track Record: Proven experience functioning as a Product Owner, Product Manager, or Lead Technical Business Analyst within an agile development environment.
• UI/UX Design Thinking: Demonstrated expertise in designing financial platform interfaces—whether B2B, single-dealer, or multi-dealer—specifically for derivatives pricing or complex workflow management.
• Analytical & Problem-Solving Mindset: A hands-on, detail-oriented approach with exceptional analytical capabilities.
• Strong Leadership & Collaboration: Ability to lead cross-functional teams from initial analysis and design through to full implementation, fostering alignment across stakeholders.
• Tool Proficiency: Advanced working knowledge of JIRA for project tracking and backlog management.
• Bonus Qualification: Familiarity with the FIX protocol is a distinct advantage.
• Educational Background: Candidates with strong analytical training (e.g., graduates from HKUST or similar institutions) are often well-suited to this role.
