Global Prop Trading Firm - Trade Ops (Up to 750K)

The Company

My client is an international prop trading firm that is looking to hire a dynamic Trade Operations professional. This is a fast-paced environment with a steep learning curve, offering exposure across multiple trading activities and internal functions. The role will involve supporting day-to-day operations while contributing to ongoing initiatives aimed at improving workflows and automation.

They are looking for a motivated and independent team player who is a strong problem solver and able to thrive in a high-performance environment.

The Role

• Trade support and reconciliation: handle daily trade processing activities, including booking, monitoring positions, and reconciling cash and transactions across different portfolios
• Issue resolution and coordination: investigate and resolve trade discrepancies, settlement issues, and operational queries by working closely with internal teams and external counterparties
• Process improvement and automation: review current workflows, identify inefficiencies, and drive enhancements to reduce manual work and improve accuracy
• Automation and data tools: support the development of automated reports and workflows using simple scripting or AI tools to improve efficiency
• Data management and reporting: ensure data used for reporting is accurate, timely, and complete while supporting ongoing reporting needs
• Onboarding and connectivity: assist in setting up new counterparties and trading relationships, ensuring processes are ready for smooth execution
• Project and system initiatives: work with internal teams on system upgrades and process improvements, contributing to regional or global initiatives
• Risk monitoring and controls: keep track of operational risks across the trade lifecycle and flag issues proactively for resolution

• Documentation and process tracking: maintain clear documentation and support knowledge sharing across the team

Your Profile

• About 3-5 years of experience in Trade Operations or Hedge Fund Operations
• Strong knowledge of Python or VBA is an advantage
• Comfortable working with data and technology, with exposure to tools such as Python, SQL, or automation platforms
• Strong ability to understand workflows and identify areas for improvement
• Familiarity with trade lifecycle processes across various asset classes (e.g. equities, ETFs, derivatives, FX)
• Hands-on experience in reconciliation, settlement, or reporting processes
• Ability to work efficiently under pressure and meet tight deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
• Strong quantitative, problem-solving, and analytical skills with the ability to look beyond the numbers.
• Excellent organizational, communication, and prioritization skills.
• Proactive mindset with a strong sense of ownership and accountability.
