Founded in early 2000's , the group is a state-controlled investment institution with a long-standing focus on primary market investments. The firm has built strong capabilities across hard technology, artificial intelligence, advanced manufacturing, and life & healthcare sectors.

The group manages a combination of proprietary capital and multiple government- and market-backed funds, with aggregate assets under management exceeding RMB 130 billion. It is consistently ranked among the top-tier investment platforms in China.

As part of its international expansion, the group has established a Hong Kong subsidiary and is in the process of setting up a Hong Kong-based investment fund with a strong strategic focus on innovation and cross-border opportunities.

Job Description

Fund & Regulatory Management

Serve as Responsible Officer for SFC Type 4 (Advising on Securities) and Type 9 (Asset Management) licenses
Lead and manage the licensing application, ongoing compliance, and regulatory engagement with the SFC
Establish and maintain a robust compliance, risk management, and internal control framework for Hong Kong operations
Oversee the full lifecycle of Hong Kong fund operations, including fund structuring, launch, and day-to-day management
Coordinate with legal advisors, auditors, custodians, and other service providers

Investment & Business Development

Support the deployment of a target HKD 2 billion fund, focusing on:

Life & healthcare
Artificial intelligence and AI-enabled manufacturing

Primary geographic focus on Hong Kong and the Greater Bay Area, with strong linkage to Mainland China
Conduct project sourcing, due diligence support, and on-site company visits
Participate in LP communication and fundraising activities, including engagement with Hong Kong government-related capital and local institutional LPs
Build and maintain relationships with government bodies, industrial partners, and innovation ecosystems

Platform & Team Development

Act as the senior representative of the group in Hong Kong
Build, manage, and develop the Hong Kong team as the platform scales
Establish operational processes that align Hong Kong practices with group governance while maintaining local market efficiency

The Successful Applicant

Mandatory Requirements

SFC Type 4 & Type 9 Responsible Officer qualification (existing or transferable)
Legal right to work and reside in Hong Kong
Master's degree or above, preferably from:

Mainland China 985 / top-tier universities, or
Top 50-100 QS-ranked universities

Solid background in asset management, private equity, venture capital, or related financial institutions
Proven ability to assume substantive management responsibilities under Hong Kong regulatory standards

Preferred Experience

Mainland China background with strong understanding of cross-border investment and regulatory environments
Experience with RMB funds, government-guided funds, or state-linked investment platforms
Proven track record in fund setup from inception or launching new investment platforms
Industry exposure to AI, hard tech, advanced manufacturing, or life sciences

Personal Attributes

Strong entrepreneurial mindset with the ability to operate in a start-up platform environment
Practical, execution-oriented, and willing to be hands-on
Sound judgment, stable values, and strong sense of regulatory responsibility
Ability to balance state-backed governance standards with market-driven execution

Monthly base salary plus performance-based bonus
Reference annual total compensation: approximately RMB 2 million, flexible for exceptional candidates
Long-term incentives may be discussed in line with fund development and platform growth
