WHO
Our client is a major Hong Kong law firm with a strong regional footprint, including offices across mainland China. It is seeking a Head of Facilities and Administration to lead and develop its Administration and Facilities Department. Working closely with department heads and the firm's management committee, the successful candidate will own the facilities strategy across the region and provide day-to-day leadership of a large, multi-disciplinary support team.
WHAT
You will manage a department of around 45 staff spanning mailing, conference centre services, facilities and maintenance, records management, registration, search and stamping, document services and production, office space planning and office moves. The remit extends to the firm's fixed assets, office leases and fit-outs, supplier and service-provider relationships, printing and scanning contracts, insurance renewals and the departmental budget. You will also drive facilities and administration projects — from records destruction and environmental initiatives to ISO 14001 accreditation and procurement procedures — and lead the firm's business continuity planning alongside other department heads.
YOU
The successful candidate will be degree educated, ideally in business administration, facilities management or a related discipline, with proven senior-level experience in facilities and office administration within a sizeable professional firm. You must bring strong supplier, contract and lease management skills, a track record delivering maintenance and facilities projects, and the leadership ability to manage, motivate and develop sizeable teams. Familiarity with business continuity planning and ISO 14001 or similar standards is an advantage, as is confidence using technology, including AI-enabled tools, to improve operational efficiency. Fluency in written and spoken English and Chinese is essential.
