Head of Finance - Top International School

On behalf of a leading international school
in Hong Kong, we are seeking a Head of Finance.

Reporting to the Head of School and
Management Committee, the Head of Finance is responsible for financial
leadership, governance, reporting and planning, ensuring financial integrity
and strategic alignment.

 The role
combines hands -on financial oversight with senior -level influence, leading a
team of nine while remaining actively involved in key areas including financial
management, Board and committee papers, meeting preparation and participation,
and compliance. In addition, the role provides oversight of Purchasing team and
functions, ensuring appropriate financial governance, controls, and alignment
with institutional policies.

 The
main duties and responsibilities are as follows: 

• Financial Operations &
  Reporting (Hands -On Operation)
  
• Budgeting, Forecasting &
  Financial Planning
  
• Focal point for Governance,
  Compliance & Audit
  
• Tendering, Procurement & Contract
  Financial Oversight
  
• Capital & Asset Management
  planning and oversight
  
• Stakeholder Engagement,
  Business Partnership, Presentation & Communication especially in
  preparation and presentation of board papers and effective communication
  of financial information, risk management.
  
• Strong Leadership & People
  Management
  

The ideal candidate will be a qualified
accountant with a minimum of 10 years’ relevant experience and combine a
hands -on approach with strong communication skills in fulfilling
the duties and responsibilities as described above. Furthermore, the ideal
candidate will possess a background in service -driven
sectors, such as Education, NGO etc.. and have direct experience, interfacing
with public bodies, such as the Education Bureau.
