  • Partner with Nomura's business divisions — including Investment Banking, Global Markets, International Wealth Management, and Investment Management — to develop and deliver creative internal communications plans.

  • Advise and support senior leaders on their communications: drafting narratives, talking points, speeches, and other materials that help colleagues understand and connect with the firm's direction.

  • Develop crisis communications plans and help manage risks to the firm's reputation.

  • Collaborate closely with global colleagues to deliver projects and content that are broader in scale.

  • Align global strategy and messaging to ensure consistency in strategy, narrative, and messaging across region while preserving local relevance within a globally coherent framework.

  • Work with Human Resources and other corporate functions to strengthen company culture and how Nomura is perceived as an employer.

  • Manage one direct report and collaborate with wider teams to deliver initiatives and maintain consistency with global standards.

  • Build external networks to stay informed on industry trends and best practices.

  • Coordinate submissions for industry awards.

Skills and Experience Required

  • 10+ years' experience in corporate communications, media relations, content writing, or journalism, with a focus on financial services.

  • Strong written and spoken English. Business-level Cantonese is preferred; Mandarin or Japanese fluency is an advantage.

  • Proven ability to influence and build trust with senior stakeholders, even without direct reporting line authority.

  • Comfortable working across multiple teams, geographies, and reporting lines simultaneously.

  • Excellent attention to detail and ability to manage competing priorities under tight deadlines.

  • Strong interpersonal skills and a collaborative working style.

  • Commitment to developing yourself and your team.

  • Experience with external communications and social media is a strong advantage.

  • University degree in any discipline.
