Head of Operation, Reputable Chinese Investment Bank

Our client is a well-established and reputable Chinese investment bank in Hong Kong, offering a full spectrum of financial services across primary and secondary market, private banking, asset management and retail brokerage. With a strong footprint in Asia and deep connectivity to mainland China, the firm operates a robust and complex operations platform supporting global markets.

To support business growth, they are now seeking a Head of Operations to lead the team. As the Head of Operations, you will oversee end-to-end operations functions including transaction support, settlement, asset services, account opening, and data maintenance across all asset classes. You will work closely with front office to ensure smooth processes. You will also play a key role in formulating strategic plans and restructuring the operational framework to meet rapid market changes.

Requirements:

1. Minimum 15 years of operations experience within securities firms, investment banks, or financial institutions, with at least 5 years in a senior managerial role (e.g., Head of Operations, Head of Settlement, Head of Middle Office).
2. Experience in middle office functions and system implementation is highly preferred.
3. Strong leadership and people management skills, with proven ability to lead large teams and drive process optimisation.
4. Fluency in both written and spoken English and Chinese (including Mandarin and Cantonese).
