Head of Sales - Payments and Financial Technology

The business

A growing financial services business in the payments sector, serving business customers across the region. The company is founder led and is now investing in a dedicated commercial function.

The role

This is the company's first senior sales appointment, with responsibility for the commercial strategy and the team that delivers it.

• Define the sales approach: target segments, proposition and route to market


• Build and lead the sales team as the function grows


• Establish the commercial rhythm: forecasting, pipeline review and performance management


• Work closely with the founder on go to market priorities and market feedback


• Represent the business with partners and in the market

What you will bring

• A track record of selling payments, financial technology or financial services products to business customers, ideally including cross border transaction products


• Experience building or substantially scaling a sales function, rather than only running an established one


• Comfort operating in a business where the commercial infrastructure is still being built


• Credibility with founders and finance decision makers


• Regional perspective across Hong Kong and Singapore, and an understanding of how buying behaviour differs between them
