Head of Vietnam Coverage, Investment Banking

Role Purpose

1. Lead the Vietnam corporate coverage franchise, originating and executing investment banking transactions for large corporates, sponsors, and strategic clients. The role drives revenue growth through relationship management, product penetration, and cross-border coordination with regional and global teams.

Key Responsibilities

1. Build and manage senior client relationships across priority Vietnamese corporates and regional inbound clients.
2. Originate and execute mandates across ECM, DCM, M&A, structured finance, and advisory.
3. Develop sector coverage strategy and client wallet-share expansion plans.
4. Work with product partners to structure tailored financing and advisory solutions.
5. Lead pitch preparation, client presentations, market mapping, and deal execution oversight.
6. Coordinate with credit, risk, legal, compliance, and product teams to ensure sound execution.
7. Monitor pipeline, revenue targets, and client coverage performance.
8. Represent the bank in external market events and strengthen brand presence in Vietnam.
9. Mentor and develop coverage team members.

Requirements

12–15+ years of experience in investment banking, corporate banking, or coverage.

1. Strong track record in origination, relationship management, and transaction execution.
2. Deep understanding of the Vietnam market and corporate client landscape.
3. Experience across capital markets, M&A, and corporate finance advisory.
4. Strong commercial judgment, client leadership, and stakeholder management skills.
5. Ability to work across regional teams and manage cross-border transactions.
6. Bachelor’s degree required
7. Preferred Profile
8. Existing senior coverage banker, corporate banker, or investment banking client coverage leader.
9. Strong network with Vietnamese corporates, family-owned groups, SOEs, and inbound regional clients.
10. Comfortable leading both business development and execution dialogue with C-suite clients
