Intermediary Sales, HK Retail & PB Business (AD/Director level)

About the Role:

Our client, a leading independent global investment firm specializing in actively managed investment strategies and innovative client solutions, is looking to recruit a seasoned sales professional with 8+ years of experience and deep intermediary relationships in Hong Kong. This role is responsible for driving revenue growth across retail banks, private banks, IFAs, and insurance distribution channels.

Key responsibilities include:

1. Marketing and selling the firm’s fund range to distribution channels including consumer banks, private banks, IFAs, and insurance companies in Hong Kong.
2. Building and maintaining strong overall relationships with distribution partners, delivering a high standard of client service at all levels.
3. Leveraging existing strong relationships with HK intermediary distributors and a proven track record of success (preferred).
4. Leading new channel and business development initiatives, securing new distribution partnerships, and pitching new/existing product ideas.
5. Achieving revenue targets while strategically supporting the Head of Sales.
6. Assisting the Head of Sales in setting targets and agreed levels of client engagement activities.
7. Representing our client as a speaker at seminars, professionally presenting market views and investment product ideas.
8. Working closely with the team and senior management across functions to develop new product ideas, product focus, and sales strategies to enhance business opportunities.
9. Communicating effectively with internal teams and other departments regarding distributor requirements and expectations.
10. Leading or participating in ad-hoc projects as assigned.
11. Actively providing market intelligence and analysis for strategic planning and business development.
12. Collaborating closely with other departments to deliver timely responses to clients.
13. Providing guidance to junior team members.

The Experience You Bring:

1. University degree holder with 8+ years of sales experience in financial and/or fund products.
2. Excellent interpersonal skills with strong connectivity to distributors.
3. Proven track record selling to retail banks (branch network / frontline sales), gatekeepers of retail/private banks, and private bankers.
4. Strong technical knowledge of investment products.
5. Excellent communication and presentation skills.
6. Ability to innovate and develop new ideas in response to client/prospect needs.
7. Strong team player.
8. Fluency in Chinese and English.
