Job Description

We are looking for a meticulous and commercially astute Legal Specialist (Commercial) to join our Legal Team at RedotPay. Reporting to the Commercial Counsel, this role is designed for a legal professional who is eager to build deep expertise in the crypto-fintech commercial space.

Key Responsibilities

• Contract Drafting, Review, and Lifecycle Management:
  
  
  
  • Prepare first drafts and conduct initial review of a wide range of commercial agreements, including NDAs, service agreements, partnership agreements, and vendor contracts.
  
  
  • Manage and track a high volume of agreements across the contract lifecycle; assist in maintaining and improving the Legal Team’s contract review SOP and approval workflows.
  
  
  • Assist with the development, revision, and go-live of user-facing terms and conditions, policies, and disclaimers across RedotPay’s products and platforms.
  
  
  
  

• Commercial Analysis and Legal Research:
  
  
  
  • Extract, summarise, and present key commercial and legal points from contracts and legal documents
  
  
  • Conduct targeted legal research across multiple jurisdictions on issues relevant to RedotPay’s products and business operations
  
  
  • Monitor industry trends, enforcement actions, and legislative changes proactively.
  
  
  
  

• Cross-Functional Support:
  
  
  
  • Act as a primary point of contact for routine legal queries from internal stakeholders across product, operations, compliance, and finance teams, escalating to the Commercial Counsel where necessary.
  
  
  • Support the Legal Team’s contribution to enterprise-level projects, including regulatory licensing applications, trademark matters, and new product launch reviews.
  
  
  • Coordinate with external counsel as directed, managing information flow and ensuring timely and organised responses.
  
  
  
  

Qualifications and Experience

• Education: LLB, JD, or equivalent legal qualification


• Prefer candidates with strong academic credentials and demonstrable commercial drafting experience. 


• Prior experience in a commercial law firm, in-house legal team, or fintech/tech company is preferred.


• Exposure to crypto, blockchain, digital assets, payments, or financial services is a plus


• Solid foundation in commercial contract law, with demonstrable drafting and negotiation skills.


• Clear, precise written and verbal communication skills in English; Mandarin proficiency is a strong plus.


• Commercially minded: able to understand the business rationale behind legal arrangements and translate legal complexity into actionable guidance.
