Maintenance Manager

Oscar Bioenergy Joint Venture, a subsidiary of Veolia Hong Kong & Macau, operates O·PARK1, Hong Kong’s first large-scale food waste recycling facility. Using advanced technologies, it converts 73,000 tonnes of food waste annually into renewable energy and compost, promoting sustainability.

Location: Siu Ho Wan, North Lantau

Key Responsibilities:

• Manage the maintenance function, including in-house maintenance team, contract staff, and contractors, whilst adhering to all relevant legislation and site procedures; train, supervise, and evaluate team performance

• Review plant defects and oversee development of maintenance systems, stores management, H&S procedures, and computerized maintenance management systems to enhance reliability and organizational efficiency

• Plan and manage maintenance outages, including work specification, quality control, and coordination between all parties involved

• Prepare site maintenance budget proposals and manage expenditure within approved budgets

• Liaise with project and operations staff to ensure maintenance efforts align with overall business needs

Required Qualifications:

• A practical Engineer with a minimum of 5 years experience in a supervisory maintenance role within a process industry, gained in a Chemical, Waste Treatment/Incineration, pulp and paper, petrochemical, Power Generation or Marine environment

Requirements:

• Experience of managing a maintenance budget and planned maintenance system, capacity to write and implement procedures and directives

• Experience in the set up and use of CMMS and predictive maintenance equipment (vibration monitoring, thermal imaging, etc.)

• Analytical ability and enthusiastic and competent problem solver with a practical approach to solving engineering problems

• Good communication and organizational skills, able to manage and motivate the maintenance team and contractors, ability to communicate in English and Cantonese and/or Mandarin.
