Manager, Insurance Exchange, Hong Kong (Responsible Officer)

In this position you will....

be acting as the Responsible Officer of our licensed digital insurance brokerage business and supervise all regulated activities including but not limited to regulatory filings, reporting, and communications with the Insurance Authority (“IA”). You will manage relationships with our Insurance partners to drive for business development and strategic partnerships. You will lead and guide the development, improvement and implementation of effective compliance policies and procedures in collaboration with our Legal & Compliance team.

 You will be responsible for…

• Managing and supervising operations including settlement, account management, risk management, claims administration and customer service etc.


• Performing evaluation and due diligence process to onboard new product providers and distribution partners together with our Legal & Compliance team.


• Working closely with all internal stakeholders to ensure all product distribution processes comply with regulatory requirements.


• Reviewing all policies and procedures related to operations and risk control to ensure operations and all regulated activities are fully compliant with IA regulations and requirements.


• Providing training and support to team members on compliance-related issues and promoting a strong culture of compliance and ethics.


• Partnering with our Legal & Compliance team to address and resolve customer complaints in a timely and professional manner.


• Keeping abreast of regulatory requirements and developments and providing coaching and training to team members on regulatory updates proactively.


• Perform other duties and engage in ad-hoc projects as assigned.

 You will require the following qualifications and skills                                                                                                               

• Degree holder in Finance, Accounting or business administration related disciplines from a recognized university or tertiary education institution.


• Must be a current/former Responsible Officer of a Licensed Insurance Agency or Licensed Insurance Broker Company.


• A minimum of 5 years’ experience in the insurance industry, including at least 2 years of management experience, preferably from an insurance brokerage company.


• Must have solid knowledge and hands-on experience of general insurance products.


• License holder of IIQE 1,2,3 is a MUST. 


• Proactive, result-oriented and a strong can-do attitude.


• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills. Good command of both English and Chinese.


• Flexible, adaptable and be able to embrace changes.


• PC literate in MS Office especially MS Office and Excel.
