Job Description - Manager, Ticketing

The West Kowloon Cultural District Authority welcomes exceptional talent with a passion to realise the vision and mission of making the West Kowloon Cultural District a prime local and international destination for arts, culture and entertainment.

You will be responsible for:

  • leading, coaching and managing the Ticketing Team, including staffing, rostering, training, and performance management;

  • overseeing the day‑to‑day operations of the ticketing system, ensuring system stability, performance, and data accuracy across all events and venues;

  • overseeing ticketing support for internal stakeholders and external hirers, ensuring that the Ticketing Team provides effective onboarding, contract compliance, and ongoing client service throughout the event lifecycle;

  • overseeing end‑to‑end ticketing setup, including event configuration, pricing rules, allocations, pre‑sales and on‑sales; and ensure accurate and timely sales channel operations and consistent information across all customer touchpoints;

  • ensuring frontline ticketing staff are trained to deliver professional and courteous service to diverse audiences; and maintain service standards for ticketing outlets and contact channels;

  • maintaining standard operating procedures for sales, refunds, exchanges, complimentary tickets, and contingency handling;

  • overseeing preparation of sales, settlement and reconciliation reports for internal events and external hirers, ensuring alignment with Finance requirements and timely payouts;

  • overseeing incident and complaint handling related to ticketing, analysing root causes and implementing corrective and preventive measures;

  • acting as the primary point of contact for third-party ticket distribution channels, particularly focusing on the daily operation, communication and contract compliance; and

  • performing any other duties from time to time as reasonably assigned by the Authority.

You should:

  • possess a recognised university degree in Marketing, Event Management, E-Commerce or related disciplines;

  • have at least 7-10 years of relevant experience in ticketing operation, event ticketing, digital commerce, venue management, or related commercial functions, with minimum 3-5 years in a supervisory or managerial role;

  • have proven experience with enterprise‑level event ticketing systems;

  • have high level of attention to detail, with strong organisational and time‑management skills to handle concurrent events and deadlines;

  • have customer‑oriented mindset with the ability to balance audience needs, commercial objectives and governance requirements;

  • be resilient, adaptable and comfortable working in a dynamic environment aligned to event schedules; and

  • have excellent communication and interpersonal skills in Cantonese and English; proficiency in Putonghua is an advantage.
