UNIVERSITY ENGAGEMENT OFFICE


Manager, University Engagement Office (26270110)


The University Engagement Office (UEO) is established with the primary objective of enhancing the University’s engagement with stakeholders of the community and strengthening its brand. The Office takes charge of engaging both internal and external stakeholders, managing university-wide events and marketing initiatives, and handling Chinese Mainland affairs.


Responsibilities:



  • Assist in the formulation, execution, and review of the University’s comprehensive strategies and initiatives for engagement, communication, marketing, and branding;

  • Plan, coordinate, and implement University-wide marketing and engagement campaigns and programmes;

  • Ensure effective and accurate communication the University’s achievements, developments, and initiatives across diverse media platforms and promotional channels;

  • Oversee the end-to-end planning and production of promotional materials, including videos, graphics and publications;

  • Connect and collaborate closely with internal Faculties/Departments/Offices to identify and leverage the University’s latest news and developments for marketing initiatives; and

  • Perform any other duties as assigned.


Requirements:



  • A recognised degree in Communications, Marketing, Business Administration, Public Relations, or a related discipline;

  • At least 8 years of relevant experience in Marketing, Public Relations, Media Management, or related areas;

  • Established networks and connections with Chinese Mainland and international media, as well as universities;

  • Excellent written and spoken English and Chinese, including Putonghua;

  • Strong management, interpersonal, communication, and organisational skills;

  • Effective team player, with the ability to multitask, work well under pressure, and meet tight deadlines; and

  • Proficient computer skills.


Shortlisted candidates will be invited to attend a written test and an interview. 


The initial appointment will be offered on a fixed-term contract of two years. Re-appointment thereafter will be subject to performance review and mutual agreement.


Salary will be commensurate with qualifications and experience.
