Manager/Senior Manager - Tax Technology Consulting - Hong Kong

About the Business

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Tax Technology Specialist to join our team. In this role, you will be responsible for managing all aspects of tax technology, including the development and implementation of software solutions to streamline tax reporting, compliance, and analysis.

Understanding the market is a crucial aspect of developing tax technology solutions that meet the needs of clients.  As a Tax Technology Specialist, it is important to stay up-to-date with emerging tax technology trends and understand how these trends are impacting the market.  This knowledge can help inform the development of new tools and strategies that drive efficiencies and improve accuracy.  Collaborating with cross-functional teams, including tax, IT, and other business units, can also provide valuable insights into the needs of clients and the challenges they face.  By understanding the market and client needs, Tax Technology Specialists can develop solutions that create value for clients and drive business growth.

Work you'll do

• Identify and pursue new business opportunities for tax technology consulting in Hong Kong


• Conduct market research to identify trends and opportunities, and collaborate with cross-regional teams in the Asia Pacific


• Develop, implement, and maintain tax technology solutions to enhance tax compliance and reporting processes


• Analyze and interpret tax data to identify trends and areas for improvement


• Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including tax, IT, and other business units, to ensure tax technology solutions align with business needs


• Stay up-to-date with tax transformation trends in Hong Kong and work closely with Deloitte Asia Pacific’s Tax Technology Consulting team for Project and Business Development synergy and collaboration


• Understand the emerging tax technology trends and recommend new tools and strategies to drive efficiencies and improve accuracy

We are looking for someone with

• Bachelor's degree in Taxation, Accounting, Computer Science, or related field


• Minimum of 5 years of relevant experience in tax technology consulting or a related field


• Proven track record of delivering tax technology solutions to clients, including software development and implementation


• Experience with tax technology tools such as Oracle Hyperion Tax Provision, SAP tax module, OneSource, Alteryx, or other related tools


• Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills


• Strong attention to detail and ability to maintain accuracy in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment


• Relevant certifications, such as CPA, CMA, or PMP, are preferred
