Job Description - MLRO (Foreign boutique bank)

A boutique foreign bank, headquartered in Asia, pr. The institution offers a stable platform with a collaborative culture and strong regional footprint.

Your new role

Act as MLRO and Head of FCC, overseeing AML/CFT framework and financial crime risk management
Lead transaction monitoring, suspicious activity reporting, sanctions screening, and KYC/CDD controls
Serve as key contact point with regulators, managing inspections, audits, and regulatory submissions
Provide advisory to business units on financial crime risks, product governance, and regulatory changes
Develop and enhance FCC policies, procedures, and governance frameworks
Lead and manage a lean FCC team, driving performance and continuous improvement
Drive system and process enhancements to strengthen controls and efficiency

What you'll need to succeed

Proven experience in Financial Crime Compliance within a banking environment
Prior MLRO experience or readiness to take on statutory MLRO responsibilities
Strong knowledge of HKMA regulations and AML/CFT requirements
Experience managing regulatory engagements, audits, and inspections
Ability to lead and influence stakeholders across business and senior management
Strong communication skills and strategic mindset
