A leading global law firm with offices across Asia-Pacific and beyond is seeking a Counsel to join its Capital Markets practice in Hong Kong. The firm provides comprehensive and practical legal advice to clients competing in the global economy, with a strong reputation for cross-border work. The role reports into the Capital Markets partner team and offers excellent career prospects within a collaborative, fast-paced environment.

WHAT

You will advise clients on Hong Kong IPOs, with a focus on the Hong Kong side of transactions, and handle Listing Rules compliance matters. Experience with public M&A is preferred. The role demands the highest working standards with a strong service orientation and a client-first culture. You will work closely with partners on drafting, negotiating, and executing capital markets transactions.

YOU

The successful candidate will have an LLB degree from a prestigious law school; an LLM or JD is preferred. You must be legally qualified to practise in China, Hong Kong, the US, UK, Australia, or Singapore but with direct experience handling Hong Kong listings and advising on listing rules. Fluency in written and spoken English and Mandarin Chinese is essential. You must demonstrate excellent written communication and drafting skills, strong analytical ability, a dedication to client service, a pragmatic approach, and the initiative and pro-activity to thrive in a dynamic environment.
