Mandatory Reference Checking Scheme (“MRC”) for Hong Kong

The Mandatory Reference Checking Scheme is a framework to facilitate Authorized Institutions (“AIs”) to bilaterally obtain reference information during their recruitment process for certain positions, such that misconduct information in an individual’s previous employments can be provided to AIs to inform their employment decisions.

Job Responsibilities:

• Perform or check outgoing SWIFT messages from internal request

• Perform or handle the payment investigation cases

• Classify and distribute all incoming CHATS / Swift messages to related parties

• Report daily funding to Treasury & Markets

• Check/ Input accounting vouchers

• Perform day-end reconciliation of all outgoing/incoming messages

• Handle enquiry from Business Unit

• Prepare monthly statistics and other reports

• Participate in ad-hoc project / tasks as assigned

• Cross-team support within PCO

• Prepare/Handling UAT

• Perform other duties assigned by Team Head or Supervisors

Requirements:

• Post-secondary education or above is preferred

• Minimum 3 year of relevant experience in banking operations is preferred

• Sound knowledge of SWIFT and CHATS products (SWIFT Alliance system, Relationship Management Administration & SWIFT Message Routing, SWIFTNet, local eRTGS)

• Sold experience in handling payment investigation cases

• Familiar with HKICL and Clearing rules for payment

• Familiar with HSBC Sanction Screening System requirements

• Familiar with regulatory requirements in AML Name Screening

• Proficient in MS Office;

• Prudent and attentive to details;

• Good command of written and spoken English and Chinese.
