Operations Analyst

Key Responsibilities

1. Oversee trade lifecycle management including trade capture, confirmation, settlement, and reconciliation
2. Liaise with prime brokers, fund administrators, and counterparties to ensure accurate and timely trade settlement
3. Coordinate closely with fund accountants on NAV review, P&L reconciliation, and valuation matters
4. Work with auditors during annual audits and assist in preparation of supporting documentation
5. Monitor cash balances, financing, and margin requirements across prime brokers
6. Support regulatory reporting and filings, including SFC reporting requirements
7. Investigate and resolve trade breaks, discrepancies, and operational issues on a timely basis
8. Enhance operational processes and controls to improve efficiency and mitigate risk
9. Assist with onboarding of new brokers, custodians, and service providers
10. Collaborate with investment, compliance, and risk teams on operational and reporting matters

1. Requirements
2. 5 years or above relevant experience in hedge fund operations, middle office, or fund administration
3. Strong understanding of trade settlement, reconciliations, and hedge fund operational workflows
4. Experience working with prime brokers, fund administrators, and auditors
5. Familiarity with SFC regulatory reporting and compliance requirements preferred
6. Strong attention to detail with the ability to handle multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment
7. Good problem-solving skills and ability to investigate and resolve discrepancies independently
8. Effective communication skills with the ability to coordinate across internal and external stakeholders

Qualifications

1. Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, or related discipline
2. Proficiency in Excel and familiarity with portfolio management or OMS systems
3. Fluent in English and Mandarin (written and spoken)
