Operations & Investment Associate- Leading Family Office

About the Role

Our client, the founder of a top-tier hedge fund, is looking for a middle/back office professional who combines strong operational discipline with a genuine ambition to move to the front office.

Key Responsibilities

Account Management & Compliance

1. Open and maintain bank and brokerage accounts; independently manage end-to-end KYC and AML reviews on an ongoing basis. Understand and handle CRS-related tax and compliance filings.

Fund Setup & Structuring

1. Work closely with legal counsel and third-party service providers (fund administrators, lawyers, etc.) to manage the full lifecycle of new fund launches. Maintain and oversee BVI and other offshore corporate structures.

Founder’s Office Support

1. Report directly to the founder and assist with personal investment matters and related asset management.

Career Progression

1. The initial focus will be on fund and founder’s personal asset operations, including deep involvement in fund structuring and compliance. Mid- to long-term, the role is designed to pivot into the investment side.

Key Requirements

Education:

1. Degree from a top-tier university globally. In Hong Kong, only graduates from the top 3 universities will be considered; for other regions, QS Top 50 or equivalent is strongly preferred.

Language:

1. Exceptional written and spoken English, Mandarin and Cantonese is a must.

Experience:

1. At least 3 years of experience in a hedge fund, private equity, asset/wealth management, investment banking or brokerage environment.

Background:

1. Ideal candidates come from middle/back-office, strategy, or compliance functions within leading investment banks or asset managers and are now seeking a move into a front-office-oriented role.
