About the Role

Provide actuarial supports to Associate Director on participating /universal life business management as well as special projects.

This role contributes to the delivery of customer outcomes that are reliable, thoughtful, and create meaningful impact for customers and society. The role holder is expected to embed a customer first mindset in all decisions and actions by developing a clear understanding of customer needs, taking end to end ownership to resolve issues, and working collaboratively across teams to continuously enhance the customer journey—both directly and indirectly.

Roles and Responsibilities:

• Participating /Universal Life Business Management
• Support and manage a work group in participating / universal life business management, including dividend declaration, policyholders’ reasonable expectation management, policyholders’ enquiries or marketing/ channel support on participating business. (35%)
• Ensure regulatory and internal compliance, including GL16 and GL34, and the participating business committee (25%)
• Provide support to other participating /universal life business initiatives including but not limited to review of asset and liability strategy, principle of participating financial management and mechanism on dividend determination. (20%)  
• Other responsibilities
• Represents Actuarial and provides required actuarial support to special projects including implementation of new regulatory regimes. (10%)
• Develops and trains up team members to gain relevant actuarial knowledge and techniques. Regularly reviews and discusses with managers about the progress of team members and identify improvement/development areas. (5%)
• Performs other responsibilities and duties periodically assigned by manager in order to meet business or other requirements. (5%)
• Support manager in co-ordination of task assignment and resources for the team.

Minimum Job Requirements:

• University / College graduate with at least 6-8 years of relevant experience.
• Attained Fellowship in Actuarial professional examination
• Proficient in MS Office and data analysis techniques, knowledge of actuarial software will be an advantage.
• Experience in project and tasks / team management
• Good command of written and spoken English
• You are required to obtain relevant license if your job involves in regulated activities
