Patient Care Assistant II (Physiotherapy)

Department/ Hospital: Physiotherapy Department, United Christian Hospital
Pay: HK$20,159 – HK$25,195 per month
Up to 5% of total basic salary as end-of-contract gratuity may be offered to contract staff upon completion of the contract subject to satisfactory performance.

Key Responsibilities:
1. Assist physiotherapists to provide patient care in various settings.
2. Escort and prepare patients, and prepare equipment for physiotherapy treatment.
3. Undertake cleaning, disinfection and maintenance duties for department facilities and equipment.
4. Carry out duties as assigned by supervisors.

Entry Requirements:
1. Completed F.5/S.5 or equivalent.
2. Completed an on-the-job training for Physiotherapy Assistant in any Physiotherapy Department under Hospital Authority (See remarks).

Preferred Attributes/Exposure:
1. Able to read and understand simple English, fluency in Cantonese and written Chinese.
2. Basic computer skills and knowledge.
3. Good communication and interpersonal skills.
4. Working experience in health care setting
5. Mature, caring and interested in human interactions.

2. Applicants who do not meet entry requirements (2), if find suitable, will be employed to undergo at least 6 months’ on the job training including the structured departmental training. Employment may be terminated if the selected applicant cannot pass the assessment after training.
