Payroll Officer (MNC, retail brand + AL 20, URGENT!)

The Company

We are seeking a Payroll Officer with 1-2 years of working experience to support end-to-end payroll operations. The successful candidate will assist with processing payroll, handling statutory requirements, maintaining payroll records, and ensuring accurate and timely payroll delivery.

The Role

• Payroll processing
• Assist in preparing and processing payroll accurately and on schedule.
• Verify attendance/time records, overtime, allowances, and deductions.
• Support calculations for salary adjustments, arrears, bonuses, and reimbursements.
• Data management & record keeping
• Maintain payroll spreadsheets and records; ensure data accuracy and completeness.
• Update employee master data (hire/termination changes) in HR/payroll systems (where applicable).
• Statutory & compliance support
• Support the preparation of statutory filings and documentation (as assigned).
• Ensure payroll calculations align with relevant employment and tax requirements.
• Employee support
• Respond to payroll queries from employees regarding payslips, deductions, and payments.
• Support onboarding/offboarding payroll-related tasks.
• Reconciliation & control
• Assist with payroll reconciliations (e.g., payroll vs bank payments, accruals where needed).
• Review payroll outputs for accuracy; flag discrepancies.
• Ad hoc tasks
• Support month-end/year-end close activities related to payroll and expenses.
• Assist with reporting and internal audits as required.

Your Profile

• Diploma or Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or related discipline

• 1-2 years of payroll experience (or equivalent in-house payroll / payroll outsourcing support).
• Proficient in Excel (vlookups/xlookup, pivot tables preferred).
• Strong attention to detail and ability to meet deadlines.
• Good communication skills and a service-minded attitude
