Job Description - Program Manager, Finance Technology, Executive Director

Part of the securities lending, secured financing, Finance Technology, collateral management, and client portfolio risk and margin technologies organization.  Through a broad set of services and products, we enable our relevant business segments to be responsible for the management of financial resources within Sales and Trading and ensure proper and consistent allocation and pricing of resources across market facing businesses.

Key member of our change management function which is accountable for managing the implementation of new business processes, technologies, organizational behaviours, and functional strategies.  With the business environment and workplace experiencing so much change at increasing rates, this role contributes leadership to manage and adapt by providing practical solutions for implementing and embedding change.

This role will need to combine knowledge of the elements of successful organizational change management.  As a project / program manager, you will have immediate exposure to assignments that will draw on your imagination, creativity and exceptional presentation skills, as well as your ability to analyze information, develop conclusions and present content through clear, well-written communication.  The experiences will help build your technical knowledge and overall industry expertise.

Your main responsibilities will be as follows:

  • Overall accountability for the vision and leadership of assigned projects and programs

  • Initiate and influence strategic decisions

  • Strong project management experience

  • Ability to investigate client needs to provide input into solutions

  • Building and managing strong partnership with business constituents

  • Demonstrated organizational change management experience covering training, communication, and documentation

  • Ability to recognize and summarize major patterns, identify edge cases, suggest conclusions / recommendations to enable business decision making

  • Create, write, edit and deliver effective and appropriate internal communication materials

  • Analyze people and business processes, and make recommendations for improvement

  • Partner with development team managers to present and implement communication and change management strategies

  • Demonstrate natural ease and effectiveness when dealing with all levels of personnel

  • Great attention to detail with the ability to respond promptly and work to tight deadlines

Required skills and experience:

  • Knowledge of Finance, Firm financing business functions including repo / rev repo, stock loan, Corp Treasury liquidity and capital management, cash management, collateral management, counterparty risk, etc. is required

  • 7+ years of experience in project and program management working with global business stakeholders. 15+ for ED

  • Able to demonstrate bringing teams together toward a common goal who are not directly reporting to the project manager

  • Able to demonstrate the ability to work in a high pressure environment while juggling multiple tasks

  • Advanced analytical and problem solving skills with ability to grasp complexities and relationship between issues

  • Ability to think commercially and identify potential process improvements and savings for the firm

  • A creative, original thinker not constrained by status quo and shows initiative with conceptual intelligence

  • Possess strong interpersonal and communication skills, ability to communicate at all levels and influence others

  • Learn quickly to acquire the required business and technical knowledge

  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills with experience in writing documentation.  Must be able to get the message across to a variety of audiences
