We are looking for an energetic and innovative engineering professional to join our Contracting Business Department. The appointee will be assigned to work in the Hong Kong International Airport in Chek Lap Kok and responsible for the following major duties:
Lead a multi-discipline team to ensure effective project management of E&M, SCADA, BMS and PLC projects comprising design, project program monitoring, cost control, supervision of subcontractors’ performance, interfacing with relevant parties, materials and resources planning
Lead business development, client engagement and tendering activities, including proposal preparation, contract administration, procurement strategy and subcontractor management.
Drive business growth by formulating and implementing strategic initiatives and action plans to expand the project pipeline and strengthen market position.
Liaise with clients, consultants and stakeholders to establish project execution strategies, programmes and procedures, ensuring compliance with technical requirements and successful project delivery.
Direct and oversee project execution, site operations and contractor performance to ensure delivery within programme, budget, outage constraints, quality standards and regulatory requirements.
Review and endorse design submissions, method statements, risk assessments, resource plans, tender proposals, procurement documentation, and safety and health plans to ensure compliance with contractual, statutory and corporate requirements.
Oversee project financial performance through budgeting, forecasting, cost control and expenditure management in accordance with corporate governance requirements.
Lead, develop and mentor project teams to foster technical excellence, operational efficiency and a high-performance culture.
Prepare and present project performance reports, market intelligence and business insights to support management decision-making and strategic planning.
Drive continuous improvement, value engineering and operational excellence initiatives to enhance contract performance, project outcomes and client satisfaction.
Implement and monitor the Health, Safety, Security, Environment and Quality (HSSEQ) system to achieve the required standards of contract specification and regulatory requirements
Support the Senior Project Manager to manage the Branch’s operation and timely complete the ad-hoc task
Requirements
A recognized university degree in Electrical Engineering or other relevant engineering disciplines
Minimum of 8 years’ relevant working experience in maintenance of electrical systems with at least 3 years at managerial level
Possession of Registered Electrical Worker Grade C0, H0
Corporate Member of HKIE or equivalent qualification from other recognized professional bodies is preferrable
Sound knowledge of contractor management, interfacing with civil and E&M contractors as well as managing site activities in multi-discipline infrastructure projects
Sound knowledge in commercial and financial skills in managing construction projects
Solid project experience in managing HKIA projects is preferable
Customer-oriented, self-motivated, responsible with strong commitment and ability to perform under pressure
Excellent interpersonal and problem-solving skills
Strong leadership, supervisory, presentation and communication skills are essential
Proficient in both written and spoken English and Chinese (Cantonese and Putonghua)
A valid driving license (1 and 2) is required
