Our client is a global wealth management firm based in Hong Kong. We are seeking an experienced Research Assistant – Retail Market & Institutional Research

Role Overview

We are seeking a motivated Research Assistant to support our equity research team in analyzing Chinese equities, including Hong Kong-listed companies and Stock Connect opportunities. The successful candidate will contribute to generating investment ideas, preparing research materials, and delivering timely insights to both sales teams and institutional clients.

Key Responsibilities

1. Conduct in-depth research on Chinese equities (Hong Kong-listed and Stock Connect).
2. Generate investment ideas and support the development of actionable recommendations.
3. Provide timely market insights and assist in preparing investment recommendations for sales and clients.
4. Draft equity research reports, IPO fact sheets, and presentation materials.
5. Collaborate with analysts and management on ad-hoc projects and strategic initiatives.

Requirements

1. Bachelor’s degree in Economics, Finance, Accounting or related disciplines
2. Relevant experience in equity research or technical analysis will be an advantage
3. CMT qualification would be an advantage
4. Outgoing personality with a proactive mindset and strong presentation skills
5. Genuine interest in equity analysis and willingness to learn
6. Fluent in both Cantonese, English and Mandarin
7. SFC license holder is preferred
8. Effectively using AI is preferred
