MAIN PURPOSE
The Retail Director - Hong Kong & Taiwan is a senior leadership role responsible for driving commercial performance, retail excellence across the region. This role leads the retail organization to deliver sustainable growth, elevated client experience, and strong people development, while ensuring full alignment with Chloé’s global strategy and luxury brand standards.
The successful candidate will be a hands‑on, business‑driven leader with a strong understanding of the Hong Kong and Taiwan luxury retail landscapes, capable of balancing short‑term performance with long‑term brand building.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
Commercial & Business Performance
- Own and deliver sales, profitability, and productivity targets for Hong Kong and Taiwan.
- Develop and execute robust retail strategies and action plans to drive growth across boutiques and wholesale doors.
- Closely monitor KPIs (sales, traffic, conversion, UPT, AOV, inventory, margin) and proactively implement corrective actions.
- Partner with Merchandising and Supply Chain teams to ensure optimal product assortment, stock efficiency, and sell‑through.
- Identify market opportunities and risks, providing clear business insights and recommendations to APAC leadership.
Retail Excellence & Client Experience
- Ensure consistent delivery of exceptional luxury client experience in line with Chloé’s brand values and service standards.
- Champion clienteling, CRM usage, and VIC development, driving repeat business and long‑term loyalty.
- Uphold the highest standards of store operations, visual merchandising, and brand presentation.
- Collaborate with Marketing and VM teams to execute retail activations, launches, and local initiatives effectively.
Leadership & People Development
- Lead, inspire, and develop a high‑performing retail organization, including Store Managers and store teams.
- Build strong succession plans and actively coach future leaders.
- Drive a performance‑driven culture with clear accountability, engagement, and motivation.
- Ensure recruitment, onboarding, and training standards meet both commercial needs and brand expectations.
Cross‑Functional Collaboration
- Act as a key business partner to APAC functions including Merchandising, Marketing, Finance, HR, and Operations.
- Ensure strong alignment with Global Retail, Operations and Training teams.
- Build effective relationships with landlords, partners, and external stakeholders where relevant.
Governance & Compliance
- Ensure full compliance with company policies, internal controls, and local labor regulations.
- Manage retail budgets and costs responsibly, with a focus on profitability and efficiency.
Profile & Experience
- Minimum 12–15 years of retail experience, with significant leadership exposure in luxury fashion or accessories.
- Proven track record of driving strong retail performance in complex, mature markets.
- Solid experience managing Hong Kong and/or Taiwan markets is strongly preferred.
- Strong commercial acumen with the ability to analyze data and translate insights into action.
- Inspirational leader with a hands‑on, agile, and results‑oriented mindset.
- Strong communication and stakeholder management skills.
- Fluent in English; Cantonese and/or Mandarin is highly desirable.
