Risk Officer Tier-1 Multibillion Dollar Hedge Fund (Hong Kong)

An established and growing investment management firm is seeking a Risk Officer to join its Hong Kong Risk team.

This role offers strong exposure to portfolio risk, investment analytics and operational risk within an active equity platform.

Key Responsibilities

1. Perform daily pre- and post-trade investment risk monitoring
2. Investigate risk limit breaches and ensure timely resolution
3. Monitor portfolio risk metrics (including VaR) across funds and mandates
4. Support counterparty risk monitoring
5. Assist with regulatory reporting (including short selling where applicable)
6. Contribute to Risk Committee reporting
7. Support operational risk reviews and service provider oversight
8. Monitor performance across accounts and adherence to reporting standards

Requirements

1. 2+ years’ experience in asset management, investment consulting, or securities industry
2. Experience in investment risk, analytics or portfolio monitoring
3. Degree in Finance, Economics, Mathematics or related discipline
4. Actuarial training advantageous
5. Strong Excel and numerical skills
6. Excellent written and spoken English
