Department/Hospital: Radiology & Organ Imaging Department, United Christian Hospital
Pay: HK$63,103 to HK$143,298 [HGPS point 25 to 44] per month including Monthly Allowance
Up to 15% of total basic salary (after deducting the contribution of Mandatory Provident Fund by Hospital Authority) as end-of-contract gratuity may be offered to contract staff upon completion of the contract subject to satisfactory performance.

Key Responsibilities
1. Assist in the commissioning of radiopharmacy laboratories.
2. Handle radioactive substances and practice radiochemistry and radiopharmacy to support nuclear medicine service provision and developments.
a) Perform radiolabelling, reconstitution and compounding of radiopharmaceuticals.
b) Prepare and dispense radiopharmaceuticals for diagnostic and therapeutic uses. 
c) Perform radiolabeling of autologous blood cells and blood components.
d) Perform radionuclide in-vivo non-imaging tests and in vitro tests.
e) Synthesize positron-emitting radiopharmaceuticals for clinical and research uses.
f) Assist in administering radiopharmaceuticals for diagnostic and therapeutic uses.
g) Assure and monitor the quality of radiopharmaceuticals.
h) Arrange the procurement, delivery, storage and disposal of radiopharmaceuticals and radioactive sources.
3. Manage radiopharmacy laboratories, equipment and consumables.
4. Ensure compliance to local regulatory requirements and conformance to international professional standard and to perform regular review and updates.
5. Draw up documents and keep records for accreditation and regulatory purposes.
6. Supervise the development, implementation and maintenance of clinical radiopharmacy services.
7. Supervise and train staff in the radiopharmacy laboratory.
8. Undertake teaching and research to support nuclear medicine training programme.
9. Maintain occupational safety and environmental protection pertaining to radiochemistry and radiopharmacy.
10. Perform any other duties as assigned by supervisor(s).

Entry Requirements
1. Either one of the following qualifications:
(a) A Master’s degree in a Biochemistry or Pharmaceutical Science subject related to the Nuclear Medicine from a local university, or equivalent.
(b) A degree in Pharmacy or other relevant Health or Biochemistry Science subject from a local university, or equivalent and 2 years’ experience.
2. Practical experience in radiopharmacy, preferably in hospital radiopharmacy or relevant industry.

Preferred Attributes / Exposure
1. A holder of a Certificate of Registration and a valid Practising Certificate issued by the Pharmacy and Poisons Board, Hong Kong.
2. Experience in the field of Nuclear Medicine (NM) or Positron Emission Tomography (PET) radiopharmacy.
3. Communication skills.

7. Interpersonal skills.
