Job Description - Section Head Data Services

Your new company is a well-established and reputable banking group with a strong footprint across Asia.

Your new role

Partner with the Department Head to bridge complex data infrastructure with business innovation
Lead the design, delivery, and management of enterprise data services to enable scalable Data & AI capabilities
Collaborate closely with business and technology teams on user requirements, data onboarding, data mapping, UAT, and core banking system enhancements
Design and implement modern data architectures, including Data Lake, Data Warehouse, and real-time data pipelines
Drive the development and maintenance of data marts and ensure data is accessible, scalable, and high-quality
Define and execute the Data-as-a-Service (DaaS) strategy across the organization
Empower business users with self-service data tools for reporting, analysis, and insights generation
Develop data tagging frameworks leveraging both internal and external datasets
Partner with AI & Data Solution teams to ensure availability of high-quality, AI-ready datasets
Translate customer data (structured and unstructured) into actionable insights to support business and marketing initiatives
Establish and enforce data governance, security, and access control standards
Ensure compliance with regulatory requirements, internal policies, and risk management

What you'll need to succeed

Degree in Computer Science, Data Science, Statistics, or a related discipline
Minimum 10+ years of experience in data management, business analytics, or data warehousing within financial services
At least 5 years of leadership or team management experience
Proven track record of delivering large-scale, enterprise data projects end-to-end
Hands-on experience in data engineering, ETL processes, data onboarding
Familiarity with modern data tools and platforms such as Airflow, DBT, Kafka, Tableau/Power BI
Experience working in cloud environments (AWS, GCP, etc.)
