Pay\:  HK$32,740 - HK$38,290 (HGPS Point 12 - 15) per month including Monthly Allowance

 

Up to 15% of total basic salary (after deducting the contribution of Mandatory Provident Fund by Hospital Authority) as end-of-contract gratuity may be offered to contract staff upon completion of the contract subject to satisfactory performance.

Key Responsibilities:
Reporting to Laundry Manager and Assistant Laundry Manager, assists in day-to-day staff management, production management and control of laundry service to achieve safety, efficiency and effectiveness operation. The key responsibilities included but not limited to the following areas:

l   Monitor the laundry services including daily laundry operation, production planning, quality control, equipment maintenance, customer and various service providers co-ordination, staff training and staff performance supervision

l   Implementation and supervision of laundry services compliance with relevant guidelines and legislative requirements including occupational safety and health, inflection control and environmental management

l   Implementation and supervision of SMART laundry operation including application of A.I. & RFID technology, robotic and Laundry & linen Management System. Support Laundry & Linen Management System in Central Laundry.

Entry Requirements:

1.    Serving staff with a minimum of 2 years’ experience at Foreman level and knowledge in laundry operations; 

 OR

2.     (a) Pass in 5 subjects including English Language (Syllabus A or B), at Grade E in the Hong Kong Certificate of Education Examination or equivalent.

OR

(b) 5 subjects in the Hong Kong Diploma of Secondary Education attaining the level specified below:

·       Level 1 in English Language; and

·     Level 2 in New Senior Secondary subjects/ "Attained" in Applied Learning subjects (subject to a maximum of 2 subjects under this category) / Grade E in Other Language subjects;

or equivalent.

AND

(c) 4 years' post-qualification experience, 2 years of which at supervisory level.

3.    Good communication and interpersonal skills, mature personality and experienced in supervising staff.

Preferred Attributes / Exposure:

1.        An ordinary Certificate in Mechanical / Manufacturing Engineering/ Quality Management or equivalent will be an advantage.

2.        Relevant working experience in health care laundry will be an advantage.

3.        Supervisory experience in leading a team of workers in operation will be preferred.

4.        Experience in compiling work report and knowledge in computer usage will be an asset.

5.        Energetic with self initiative and a team player.

6.        Good supervisory skill with problem-solving and decision-making abilities.

7.        Responsible, self-motivated and able to work independently under minimal supervision.
