Senior Information Technology Officer (End User Training) (25260594)


Reporting to the Senior Information Technology Manager (Customer Services/User Support) of the Office of Information Technology, the appointee will provide the first line of support to the University community in the use of IT services for the purpose of teaching and learning as well as a business operation. 


Responsibilities:



  • Perform user training and change management function, drive user adoption of new IT services to support the University's IT strategy and goals;

  • Assist in developing and implementing IT training programs and promotion of new initiatives with clear and measurable KPIs;

  • Collaborate with IT teams to identify training needs and requirements for academic and administrative staff, as well as students;

  • Design training materials, resources and courses to suit the training needs of the University community;

  • Deliver training sessions, workshops, events, forums, campaigns, etc. to the University community to enhance their technical skills and knowledge;

  • Monitor training schedules, logistics, and resources to support smooth delivery of IT training programs;

  • Conduct promotions and marketing activities to increase the usage or adoption rate on our IT services; 

  • Provide support to IT training team to maintain high training and communication standards and quality; and

  • Perform ad hoc assignments and responsibilities requested by supervisor.


Requirements:



  • A bachelor’s degree in information technology, computer science or related discipline;

  • Minimum 4 years or above of relevant work experience;

  • Experience in training, change adoption and event management are preferred;

  • Good problem-solving skills with a technology-driven and analytical mindset;

  • Good written and verbal communication skills with the ability to work under pressure; and

  • Independent, self-motivated, quick learner, good team player, a strong sense of responsibility and able to work under pressure.


Shortlisted candidates will be invited to sit for a written test.


The initial appointment will be made on a fixed-term contract of two years. Re-appointment thereafter is subject to performance review, mutual agreement and availability of funding.


Salary will be commensurate with qualifications and experience.
