Job Description - Senior Legal Counsel - Consumer Technology

Your new company

Our client, a consumer electronics and smart wellness technology company, is looking for a Senior Legal Counsel to join their team in Hong Kong.

Your new role
  • Lead the drafting, review, and negotiation of a broad range of commercial agreements, including MSAs, vendor and supplier contracts, partnership arrangements, and NDAs
  • Provide strategic guidance on U.S. commercial law matters
  • Act as a trusted legal advisor to internal stakeholders, delivering practical, business-oriented solutions on day-to-day operational matters
  • Proactively identify and assess legal risks arising from international business activities, and develop commercially aligned risk mitigation strategies
  • Stay abreast of evolving legal and regulatory developments across key jurisdictions
  • Oversee and strengthen compliance frameworks, ensuring adherence to applicable data privacy, employment, and consumer protection laws
  • Coordinate and manage external counsel in the U.S. and Hong Kong, ensuring efficient, high-quality, and cost-effective legal support when specialized advice is required

What you'll need to succeed
  • 5+ PQE attained across in-house and private practice, prior consumer product focused industry would be highly preferred
  • Proven ability to navigate US focused commercial matters, including hands-on experience managing contracts within US
    business environments
  • Strong command of US contract law, with practical expertise in areas such as liability allocation, indemnity frameworks, and dispute resolution strategies
  • Commercially minded with the ability to balance legal risk and business objectives, offering solutions-driven advice rather than purely risk identification
  • Exceptional drafting and communication skills, with a talent for translating complex legal concepts into clear, actionable guidance for non-legal stakeholders
  • Highly detail-oriented, well-organized, and confident operating independently in a fast-paced, decision-driven environment
  • Strong proficiency in written and spoken English is essential
