Senior Legal Counsel - Equities

We are partnering with a leading international bank to appoint a Senior Legal Counsel to join its Equities Legal team in Hong Kong. This is a high-impact role with regional APAC coverage, supporting a sophisticated and growing equities platform.

The Role
You will work closely with front office stakeholders, advising on a broad range of equities and derivatives-related activity, including structured solutions and financing transactions across multiple markets.

Key responsibilities include:

• Providing legal advisory on equity derivatives, structured products, and client solutions
• Supporting strategic financing and prime brokerage activities
• Managing and reviewing key trading documentation (e.g. ISDA, GMRA, portfolio swaps)
• Partnering with internal stakeholders across trading, structuring, and wealth management
• Advising on cross-border transactions across APAC

Requirements

• 10+ years' experience in equities / derivatives / markets legal
• Experience with equity derivatives, ISDA, structured products, or securities financing
• Background from a top-tier law firm or leading financial institution
• Strong commercial judgment and ability to engage senior stakeholders
• Mandarin or broader Asian language skills are a plus (not essential)
