Job Description - Senior Manager / Manager, Business Development (GI - Corporate Banking Partnership)

Responsibilities:
  • Proactively explore Dah Sing Bank's corporate banking customer base to identify and develop new general insurance business opportunities and drive sustainable new business growth
  • Work closely with DSB corporate / commercial banking frontline teams, including relationship managers and product specialists, to design and implement insurance propositions that support both existing and new corporate customers
  • Conduct regular portfolio reviews to identify cross-sell and upsell opportunities within the existing corporate portfolio, such as expanding coverage, increasing sum insured, or bundling additional solutions
  • Develop and expand non-agent broker networks and professional intermediary relationships (e.g. accounting firms, consultants) as well as direct corporate clients to broaden new business sources and reduce reliance on single channels
  • Collaborate with internal product, underwriting, operations and customer service teams to structure tailored general insurance solutions for corporate banking clients, and support quotation, negotiation and deal closing
  • Monitor channel and project performance, including new business premium, renewal performance and effectiveness of cross-sell / upsell initiatives, and provide regular updates and recommendations to management
  • Support and drive various business development and promotional activities (e.g. RM briefings, client seminars, webinars, joint marketing campaigns) to enhance awareness of our insurance offerings among DSB corporate clients
  • Contribute to the development and enhancement of business development processes, sales tools and pitch decks to improve sales effectiveness and customer experience
  • For Senior Manager level, take the role of project owner / coach to lead or mentor junior team members and drive key strategic business development initiatives
Job Requirements:
  • University degree in Business, Finance, Marketing or related disciplines
  • 5-8 years of relevant experience in general insurance, bancassurance or corporate banking business development. Candidates with less experience may be considered for Manager; those with stronger corporate / partner network experience may be considered for Senior Manager
  • Solid experience in business development or corporate client management, with a proven track record in developing new clients, new channels and cross-sell / upsell initiatives
  • Good knowledge of Hong Kong general insurance products and market. Experience working with banks, insurance partnerships or corporate clients is an advantage
  • Existing non-agent broker and professional intermediary network (e.g. business partners, accountants, consultants) will be a strong plus
  • Strong commercial acumen and analytical skills, with the ability to interpret portfolio performance and translate insights into concrete sales actions and pipeline plans
  • Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills, with the ability to build long-term working relationships with bank relationship managers, internal teams and external partners
  • Self-motivated, result-oriented and able to work independently under pressure and tight timelines while managing multiple projects
  • Good command of spoken and written English and Chinese; proficiency in Cantonese is essential, and Putonghua is an advantage
  • IIQE or other relevant insurance qualifications will be an advantage
