About the Role

As a Senior Manager/Manager, Mechanical & Electrical, you will be responsible for all aspects of mechanical, electrical, plumbing, administration and management of new hotel development or renovation projects from project inception, design development, coordination, work supervision, testing & commissioning until the completion of the project including providing guidance, strategies, support, analysis and research to the Project and Design Division.

Key Responsibilities

• Drive processes from conception to completion according to design specifications


• Review designs, drawings, specifications, and tenders with consultants, architects, authorities, vendors and subcontractors and coordinate value engineering initiatives with key stakeholders


• Monitor budgets, work schedules and quality together with office and site Project Managers in compliance with tenders, compliances and regulatory standards


• Review, recommend and implement new concepts, trends, systems, and also introduce new suppliers/ vendors on new sustainable green technology, materials and equipment


• Appraise suppliers/ vendors and keep a record of their performance for future projects


• Provide support and supervision to the on-site M&E team/ Hotel Operation and work closely with the operator to create a positive working relationship with all key stakeholders 


• Be responsible for project delivery in all M&E related areas including testing & commissioning


• Prepare monthly progress report, flag/ highlight critical issues and table solutions


• Manage multiple projects simultaneously


• Establish M&E design guidelines and procedures with the Corporate M&E team according to brand standards and safety requirements

About You

• Bachelor/ Master’s degree in Mechanical, Electrical Engineering, Building Services Engineering or related discipline


• Good understanding of all mechanical, electrical, plumbing, heating, and hi-low voltage systems


• Minimum 15 years of experience in M&E design and project management and 5 years in a senior managerial position


• Candidates with less experience will be considered for the Managerial level role


• Working experiences from both client and consultancy would be an added advantage


• Team player with good communication skills, resourceful, process-driven, commercial mindset, proactive and taking initiatives


• Exposure to luxury and upscale hospitality projects and mixed-use developments are preferred


• Experienced in managing projects in Mainland China and other overseas locations


• Strong knowledge of building codes, fire safety regulations and related licensing matter


• Experienced in BIM and Green Building Certification would be an added advantage


• Experienced in dealing with design consultants, contractors and sub-contractors


• Good presentation skills and ability to build a strong rapport with all key stakeholders


• Fluency in spoken and written English, Cantonese and Mandarin are required
