Senior Nursing Officer (General) (Central Nursing Department) (For serving HA staff only)

Pay

HK$97,787 to HK$116,855 (HGPS Pt 34 – 39) per month including Monthly Allowance

Up to 15% of total basic salary (after deducting the contribution of Mandatory Provident Fund by Hospital Authority) as end-of-contract gratuity may be offered to contract staff upon completion of the contract subject to satisfactory performance.

Key Responsibilities

1.

Oversee the Patient Relations Unit and organize patient engagement activities. Management of appreciation / complaints / feedback / enquiries on hospital services.

2.

Oversee quality management, incident reporting, and risk management related to nursing service, and monitoring nursing quality indicators and develop improvement plan.

3.

Assist the General Manager (Nursing) in developing, implementing, and evaluating nursing policies and standards.

4.

Support the General Manager in overseeing daily operations and development of quality nursing services.

5.

Assist in nursing administrative services including staff development, manpower and workforce planning.

Entry Requirements

1.

Holder of a valid Registered Nurse practicing certificate issued by the Nursing Council of Hong Kong.

2.

Qualification in advanced nursing specialty *.

3.

10 years or more post-registration experience of which at least 5 years is in a management or professional development role

* Qualification in advanced nursing specialty refers to recognize post-registration certificate, or post-graduate certificate/diploma course in nursing specialty, or Master in nursing# or related discipline with considerable coverage on a relevant nursing specialty.

# Only post-registration Master in nursing programmes are accepted

1.

Demonstrated ability in advanced managerial skills with track record of excellence in health care management and contributions to professional development including research/evidence-based practice, teaching and training.

2.

A Master degree in nursing or related discipline.

3.

Qualification in management*

*Qualification in Management refers to post-graduate certificate/diploma or Master in health service related management, or Master in nursing# or other discipline with considerable coverage on health service related management.

Develop a comprehensive 3-year action plan to enhance quality and safety of nursing service in Grantham Hospital, aligning with the key areas of responsibility (word limits\: 1000-1500).

Please specify word count at the end of the action plan and those content beyond the word limit may not be considered. Applicants who do not submit action plan before the deadline will not be considered.
