Social Work Assistant

Department/Hospital: Health Resources Centre, Tseung Kwan O Hospital
Pay: HK$27,413 to HK$51,313 (HGPS Pt 9-21) per month including Monthly Allowance 
Up to 15% of total basic salary (after deducting the contribution of Mandatory Provident Fund by Hospital Authority) as contract gratuity may be offered to contract staff at the end of each 3 years during the 9-year contract period subject to satisfactory performance.

Key Responsibilities:
1. To assist in establishing a cluster-based Medical Social Collaboration (MSC) Structure in Kowloon East Cluster.
2. To assist in setting up various MSC platforms including cluster-based website and community resource platforms.
3. To assist in developing MSC Service Models with different specialties.
4. To organize MSC-related programs, patient empowerment programs and psychosocial support group activities.
5. To work with community partners in the implementation of medical social collaborative projects.
6. To assist the implementation of the daily operation and core services of the Health Resources Centre.
7. Assist in coordinating meetings, preparing presentation materials, drafting reports and minutes.
8. To perform any other duties assigned by supervisor.

Entry Requirements:
1. A diploma in Social Work from a local academic institution or equivalent. 
2. Registration with and a valid registration certificate issued by the Hong Kong Social Workers Registration Board.
3. Fluency in written English and Chinese as well as spoken English and Cantonese.

Preferred Attributes / Exposure:
1. (a) Grade E in English Language (Syllabus B) and Chinese Language in the Hong Kong Certificate of Education Examination, or equivalent. OR 
(b) Level 2 in English Language and Chinese Language in the Hong Kong Diploma of Secondary Education, or equivalent.
