SRE - Trade Support | Hong Kong- Market-Leading Global Hedge Fund

This is a key team, working closely with colleagues across the business (traders, PMs, desk-aligned trading assistants) to automate & optimize trade execution and booking. Now looking to add an end-user trading support/SRE in Hong Kong, this role offers the opportunity to:

• Provide crucial first- and second- level support for the front office
• Work in all aspects of user/strategy application support
• Gather requirements and collaborate with engineering teams to ensure delivery of functionality
• Contribute to application deployment, checkout and QA testing
• Partner with back-office teams to resolve issues related to security setups, trade booking, corporate actions, etc.
• Participate in global coverage for system support & start-of-day/intraday health checks

You'll be expected to be a self-starter who demonstrates a strong sense of ownership, execution and the ability to work and deliver results autonomously.

Requirements

• Hands-on experience supporting Equities trading systems in finance
• Experience with Linux/Unix and KDB/SQL databases
• Scripting language skills, ideally Python and shell
• Sound understanding of trading workflows, with proficiency troubleshooting breaks
• Deep knowledge of FIX protocol and incident management
• Minimum bachelor's degree in Engineering, Computer Science (or related field)
• Excellent communicator with both technical and non-technical colleagues
