Job Description - Systems Analyst (General Insurance)

Job Purpose:

Serve as the Subject Matter Expert (SME) for core insurance systems
Analyze, design, develop, and maintain application software
Coordinate with internal teams and external vendors to ensure deliverables meet requirements
Lead large-scale projects in the general insurance industry, with exposure to Agile methodology, core systems, digital platforms, and InsurTech

Responsibilities:

Deliver application software solutions aligned with customer needs
Own the process of understanding business requirements and providing technical solutions to stakeholders
Collaborate with stakeholders to define initiative roadmaps and prioritize business needs
Participate in Agile environments, ensuring the development team adheres to standards and practices
Oversee end-to-end initiative delivery-from requirements gathering, documentation, development, testing, UAT, to production rollout
Lead the development team to ensure timely and high-quality project delivery
Coordinate with internal teams, users, and vendors to validate deliverables against requirements
Ensure smooth production rollouts
Manage user queries, production support, bug fixes, and system enhancements
Stay updated on technological advancements to enable complex requirement analysis and technical design for large-scale projects

Job Requirements:

University graduate in Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related field
Minimum of 9-11 years of relevant software development experience (Candidates with less experience may be considered for the "Analyst Programmer" role)
Proven expertise in end-to-end system change delivery
Experience with general insurance application systems is preferred
Familiarity with Agile methodology is preferred
Strong analytical, problem-solving, and organizational skills; self-driven learner
Effective leadership and teamwork abilities; proficient in written and verbal communication
