Job Description - Systems Architect

Executive Summary

We are seeking a Senior Systems Engineer to play a critical role in designing, implementing, and maintaining IT infrastructure and business application ecosystems. This is an excellent opportunity for a hands-on technical professional looking for a stable and long-term career path with an international NGO.

The ideal candidate will have strong experience in:

â¢Network and infrastructure engineering

â¢Business application support (especially POS systems)

â¢Managing external IT vendors

Key Responsibilities

â¢Define system/solution architecture for business applications (components, databases, services, integrations)

â¢Design, operate, and maintain network and communication infrastructure

â¢Install and configure IT devices (servers, routers, switches, firewalls)

â¢Provide day-to-day IT support including operations, performance, and system recovery

â¢Monitor systems health, performance, batch processing, and support facilities 24/7

â¢Design and implement Business Continuity and Disaster Recovery Plans; lead periodic drills

â¢Perform capacity planning and resource sizing based on workload projections and industry trends

â¢Provide after-hours and ad-hoc system support

â¢Manage vendor services and ensure quality IT support for users

Requirements

â¢Degree or above in IT, Computer Science, or related discipline

â¢Minimum 6 years of experience in:

oSystem architecture

oNetwork infrastructure

oBusiness application support

â¢Familiarity with:

oMS Dynamics, Power Automate, SAP, POS, Property Management Systems, and AI (advantageous)

oFirewall management, PAM (Privileged Access Management), and EDR (Endpoint Detection & Response)

â¢Certifications such as CCNA / CISSP are a plus

â¢Strong project management, interpersonal, and communication skills
