Job Summary:

We are seeking a dynamic and experienced Vice President to lead our Corporate Web Services Team. This leadership role drives the strategic development and operational excellence of our corporate websites and digital platforms, supporting HKEX’s mission to build the Marketplace of the Future through innovative technology. The successful candidate will oversee the cross-functional teams, foster innovation and ensure the reliability, security, and user-centric design of HKEX’s corporate web properties and digital services.

Job Duties:

Job responsibilities:

• Lead and manage the Corporate Web Services Team, responsible for the design, development, maintenance, and enhancement of HKEX’s corporate websites, intranets, client portals, and digital communication platforms, ensuring high availability, seamless user experience, and alignment with branding and regulatory requirements

• Collaborate with stakeholders across business divisions to identify opportunities for web-based services and digital platforms that support new products, market data dissemination, and investor engagement

• Ensure compliance with regulatory standards, data privacy, cybersecurity best practices, and HKEX’s risk management framework

• Drive projects from ideation to implementation, including proof-of-concepts, scalability testing, and post-deployment optimization

• Monitor emerging technologies in web development, providing recommendations to senior leadership on investments and partnerships

• Be a technology partner of choice to business divisions for the provisioning of solutions / systems based on their business use cases and priorities

• Manage external vendors to ensure projects are delivered on time and within budget

• Keep abreast of latest technological trends and best practices

• Lead and build team capability and drive for technical excellence

Job Requirements:

• Degree in Computer Science, IT or related disciplines

• Minimum 12-15 years of system development and support experience, with at least 5 years in a team leading role

• Strong expertise in web and digital platform technologies

• Demonstrated experience leading multidisciplinary teams, managing large-scale projects, and delivering measurable business impact

• Extensive project management experience in managing multi-million dollars projects in a quasi-public and multi-cultural organization

• Good understanding of cyber security risk and technology control

• Familiarity with cloud-native applications development and modern cloud technology stacks is preferred

• Excellent strategic thinking, problem solving, and communication skills, with the ability to influence and collaborate at executive levels
