VP, APAC Compliance Business Manager / Transformation

Overview

This is a newly created regional role within the APAC Compliance function, focused on strengthening execution, governance, and control effectiveness across the second line of defence.

The role sits at the intersection of Compliance, business management, and transformation, and will suit candidates from consulting or project-driven environments with strong delivery capability.

Key Responsibilities

1. Lead delivery of regional Compliance initiatives across APAC, defining scope, timelines, and milestones while tracking progress and managing risks
2. Drive process and operating model enhancements, improving efficiency, consistency, and control quality across the region
3. Support development and implementation of risk and control frameworks, providing practical guidance to stakeholders on risk management expectations
4. Leverage technology and partner with IT to enhance monitoring, reporting, and overall Compliance capability
5. Support governance and senior reporting, including preparation of materials for key forums
6. Drive change adoption across the first and second line, ensuring effective stakeholder engagement and execution

Key requirements include:

1. 12+ years’ experience in financial services, with strong exposure to Compliance in private banking or wealth management
2. Proven track record delivering regional or cross-border transformation / change initiatives, ideally from a consulting or project-driven environment
3. Strong understanding of Compliance risk and control frameworks, with the ability to apply them pragmatically across business contexts
4. Structured, solutions-oriented thinker with strong execution focus and ability to drive complex, multi-stakeholder initiatives
5. Confident engaging senior stakeholders across a regional matrix, with strong communication and influencing skills
6. Proficient in Excel, PowerPoint, and reporting / tracking tools
