VP Prime Services Business Analyst / Project Manager

My client, a leading global financial institution, is seeking an experienced Business Analyst / Project Manager (BA/PM) to join its Prime Services team in Hong Kong.

This role will work closely with Front Office, Operations, and Technology teams to deliver strategic business and technology initiatives across the Prime Services platform. The successful candidate will be responsible for driving business transformation, enhancing operational efficiency, and managing projects throughout the front-to-back trade lifecycle.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead front-to-back business and technology change initiatives within the Prime Services business.
• Partner with traders, sales, operations, and technology teams to gather, analyze, and document business requirements.
• Translate business requirements into functional specifications for development teams.
• Drive process improvements to enhance operational efficiency and Straight-Through Processing (STP).
• Manage project timelines, risks, dependencies, and multiple concurrent workstreams.
• Lead User Acceptance Testing (UAT) and ensure successful project delivery.
• Ensure all system enhancements comply with regulatory requirements and internal risk and control frameworks.
• Collaborate with global stakeholders across Hong Kong, London, and New York to deliver strategic initiatives.

Requirements

• Proven experience as a Business Analyst, Project Manager, or BA/PM within an investment banking environment.
• Strong knowledge of Prime Services products, including:
  • Equity Financing
  • Repurchase Agreements (Repo)
  • Stock Borrow/Lending (SBL)
• Solid understanding of trading desk environments and front-to-back trade lifecycles.
• Experience in business requirements gathering, gap analysis, process improvement, and functional documentation.
• Strong stakeholder management and project delivery experience within a complex investment banking environment.
• Excellent communication, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to manage multiple priorities and work effectively with global cross-functional teams.
