VP/Director, USD Rates and derivatives trader role

Role:

Seeking an experienced Rates & Derivatives Trader with a strong background inproprietary trading (prop desk, macro hedge fund, or bank prop risk book). The role focuses on generating P&L through directional, curve, and volatility strategies in interest rate markets.

Key Requirements:

1. Prop trading experience highly preferred – proven track record of risk-taking and consistent P&L.
2. Mandatory rates trading expertise in at least one of:USD, AUD, JPY, or EUR (e.g., government bonds, interest rate swaps, futures, options).
3. Deep understanding of yield curves, convexity, and volatility surfaces.

Responsibilities:

1. Initiate and manage proprietary risk positions (DV01, VaR, stress limits).
2. Execute relative value trades: curve steepeners/flatteners, swap spreads, butterflies, and volatility strategies.
3. Optimize capital efficiency via repo, futures margin, and swap collateral.
