Job Description - VP-ED, Institutional Sales Global Markets (FX/Rates)

The FX/Rates Macro Financial Institutional Sales role is responsible for originating, structuring, and executing a broad range of macro products—covering FX, interest rate derivatives, and cross‑currency solutions—for financial institution clients. The role serves as a key link between clients and the trading desk, delivering market insights, liquidity, and tailored solutions to support both flow and structured product needs.

Client Coverage & Relationship Management
  • Manage and expand a portfolio of financial institutional clients, including asset managers, pension funds, insurance companies, hedge funds, sovereigns, and banks.
  • Develop trusted, long‑term client relationships by understanding their investment strategies, hedging needs, and risk appetite.
  • Proactively identify opportunities across FX spot/forwards, swaps, IRS, NDFs, cross‑currency swaps, and options.
  • Work closely with internal teams including trading, research, structuring, risk, and credit to deliver high‑quality product solutions.
Sales & Execution
  • Execute FX and rates transactions in partnership with trading desks, ensuring best execution and adherence to regulatory and internal standards.
  • Generate differentiated trade ideas based on macroeconomic views, yield‑curve dynamics, and cross‑market themes.
  • Provide real‑time pricing, market colour, liquidity solutions, and product updates to clients.
  • Support the full trade lifecycle, including booking, documentation, onboarding, term sheet preparation, and post‑trade coordination.
Revenue Generation & Business Development
  • Contribute directly to revenue targets across both flow and structured macro products.
  • Identify growth opportunities and whitespace within the institutional client base.
  • Partner with product and digital teams to enhance e‑FX and e‑Rates penetration and overall client experience.
  • Support broader strategic initiatives such as platform enhancement, cross‑asset collaboration, and cross‑selling.

Qualifications & Skills Technical Skills
  • Strong understanding of FX and interest rate products: spot, forwards, swaps, options, cross‑currency swaps.
  • Solid knowledge of macroeconomics, global market drivers, and central bank policy.
  • Proficiency with Bloomberg, market analytics tools, and pricing systems.
  • Ability to interpret and communicate key risk metrics such as PV01, delta, gamma, vega, VaR.
Soft Skills
  • Excellent communication and client‑facing skills, with a strong commercial mindset.
  • High level of accuracy, problem‑solving ability, and attention to detail.
  • Ability to perform effectively under pressure in fast‑moving markets.
  • Collaborative team player capable of coordinating across multiple stakeholders.
Background
  • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Finance, Economics, Engineering, or a related discipline.
  • Prior experience in macro sales, trading, structuring, or macro research is highly beneficial.
