PORTFOLIO GROUP

The Portfolio Group works side-by-side with the Deal team at Bain Capital with focus on value creation for the entire portfolio of assets. This includes

• Identifying strategic, operational, organizational, financial, M&A and exit value creation opportunities, based on a clear vision of the desired state of the business and a focused and pragmatic plan to get there

• Providing extensive support, whenever needed, to portfolio company management across different issues

• Implementing change through influence, project management, leadership and direction of external advisors and counterparties

PROJECT OVERVIEW

Support Special Situations Portfolio Team on portfolio management related data analytics and web-based front-end development for data visualization required in standard business reports.

Internship period: August to end of the year in 2024

Key requirements:

• Experience with web-based frontend development (Html, Java-Script etc.) on top of existing backend data infrastructure

• Strong python scripting capabilities and can support maintenance / enhance of existing back end infrastructure

• Experience with data visualization technologies (e.g. leveraging charting APIs to produced custom complex chart outputs from data grids)

• Experience with cloud-based computing environments (e.g. AWS)

• Experience with interacting with data in SQL database

• Strong execution ability and independent problem solving-skills

• Good communications skills and strong ability to distill key insights from complex technical situations

• Familiar with basic business / investment concepts

• Prefer experience with working with financial institutions in similar context

• Based on HK and can work on site 3-5 days per week
